Overview

The scope of work in the laboratory is rather broad. It spans basic mathematics and computer science, physical chemistry, control theory and molecular biology. Sometimes it seems a little too diverse. However, all efforts are directed towards the central goal of building up a quantitative understanding of molecular biology to the point where rational engineering and control of cellular and multicellular behavior is feasible.

Below is a list of different sorts of thoughts, projects and wishful thinking going on in the lab. This should give a general idea of what sorts of things excite us.
