I am committed to increasing diversity in science.

Towards this end I have supported and participated in diversity organizations and events, particularly those aimed at increasing the number of women and minorities scientific fields. When I can I talk to middle school and high school students about scientific careers. When I was a graduate student at UCSC I was the President of the Women in Science and Engineering group from 2010-2013. Currently I am the Secretary of the Women in Science and Engineering Council at LBNL and serve on the Empowerment committee.
